Terebinth

The terebinth of Apaisia is 1500 years old and it is the oldest age-long tree of Cyprus. It constitutes the most beautiful adornment of the community, the prettiest gift that nature has given the village.

The residents of Apaisia are proud of the terebinth and in cooperation with the Department of Forests, which has undertaken the tree’s preservation, they protect it as if it was a valuable “treasure”.

It must be noted that the terebinth of Apaisia is included in the list of the 200 age-long trees of Cyprus.
